Take a look at this guide to Faug Domination Beta, a new shooter game from India. Faug Domination, created by Dot9 Studios, is the first multiplayer shooter specifically for the Indian gaming community, and it's now available in Closed Beta.
Since it began testing on January 12th, we've seen some good improvements from earlier versions, but there are still areas that need some work. In this article, we’ll explore everything about the game, including its features, gameplay, graphics, and overall experience!
Let’s dive into Faug Domination.
This game offers 5v5 multiplayer matches, uniquely themed maps, and a distinctly Indian vibe. Sharif and his team aim to elevate the Indian gaming scene with Faug Domination.
As it competes against major players like Call of Duty Mobile and Battlegrounds Mobile India, it’s working hard to carve out its own niche in the market. Although it shows progress from previous iterations, it still has room for improvement, making the current beta version feel a bit rough around the edges.

Our Experience with Faug Domination Beta
For our test, we tried out a budget Android phone and a top-of-the-line smartphone. Here’s what stood out to us:
Playing with Real Players:
This time, we matched with real players instead of bots, which made the multiplayer experience feel much more genuine.
Device Performance:
- Budget Phone: We didn’t run into many issues while using the lower-end phone, so the game functioned smoothly overall.
- High-End Phone: The game performed well at max settings, although the device did get a bit warm after a match. It seems there’s still some work to do for the best performance on high-end devices.
We noticed that lower-end smartphones might struggle a bit with performance, indicating that more fine-tuning might be needed in the final release.
User Interface (UI) and Menu: Clean and Simple
Faug Domination features a user interface that feels familiar to fans of battle royale games like BGMI and COD Mobile. The menu is straightforward and tidy, with minimal pop-ups, making navigation smooth and enjoyable.
Main Menu:
The background is still, showcasing smoke rising from a downed helicopter, while the character model animates in the foreground.
Showroom:
In this area, players can buy crates, weapons, skins, accessories, and in-game currency. Characters like Dillon, Adhira, Raz, Kiran, and Zaya all share the same animations but have unique appearances.
Missions and Settings:
Players can tackle daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to earn rewards. The settings menu allows adjustments to controls, gyro, and sensitivity to enhance the gaming experience.
Weapons and Loadouts: Wide Variety of Choices
Faug Domination offers a solid range of weapons for players to choose from:
Primary Weapons:
Options include rifles, pistols, submachine guns, shotguns, and sniper rifles like the AK-47, M4, SMGs, and shotguns.
Secondary Weapons:
Currently, players can only use handguns.
Melee Weapons:
Items available include kitchen knives and krembits.
Grenades:
Players can choose from white smoke grenades, flash bangs, and molotov cocktails designed as grenades.
Players have the freedom to customize their loadouts, creating unique combinations, similar to options available in Call of Duty.
Game Modes in Faug Domination Beta
Faug Domination brings you five thrilling game modes, plus options to create your own rooms:
Weapon Domination:
Change your weapon after scoring two kills. The goal is to be the first to reach 20 kills.
Desert Eagle Mode:
This fast-paced mode gives everyone endless ammo and a single Desert Eagle shot to take out opponents.
Sniper Only Mode:
Perfect for players who love sniping, this mode focuses solely on sharpshooters.
Team Deathmatch (TDM):
Enjoy the classic 5 vs 5 first-person shooter experience.
1v1 Deathmatch:
Test your skills in a one-on-one combat duel against another player.
You can also set up custom rooms, share a code with your friends to invite them, and tweak game settings to your liking.
Gameplay: Smooth but Needs More Polish
Since the Faug version released in 2021, the gameplay has definitely improved. The shooting and animations feel more natural than before.
Gun Mechanics:
The movement, shooting, and reloading work smoothly without any noticeable issues.
Character Movement:
The response time is quick, making it a lot better to play than some slower games like Standoff 2.
Kill Animations:
The upgraded ragdoll physics when characters are defeated add a nice touch of realism.
Still, there are a few things that could be added:
Jumping and Sliding: These are popular features in TDM games like BGMI and COD Mobile, and including them would make the gameplay even better.
Enemy Animations: There are times when enemy characters don’t move while shooting, which can be confusing and make it unclear if they are active players or just standing still.
Graphics and Maps: A Unique Indian Touch
Faug Domination currently has four maps: Tibba, Godi, Basti, and Sorang.
Graphics are slightly lower than COD Mobile and Standoff 2, but the Indian cultural representation is amazing. From writings inspired by Dev Anand Ji to realistic shop names and slangs on walls, the maps look realistic and are of Indian origin.
Lighting and Textures: Improvements in textures
Then the color, font and illumination contribute to making the maps more lively and as close to real life as possible.
Dead Ends:
Boundaries are distinguished with red walls in order to distinguish and not to confuse.
Environmental Details:
Objects are placed inside maps and there is always a sense that you are inside a map.
Audio Design: A Step Forward
The audio experience in Faug Domination is well-designed:
Gun Sounds:
Accurate and satisfying.
Killstreak Effects:
Some sounds are like badge displays on killstreaks are quite good.
Health Regen:
Soft and quiet breathing while in the healing state.
Perhaps the most obvious change is a different victory fanfare that would make the victory in the match more exciting.
Challenges and Improvements Needed
While Faug Domination shows great potential, there are still some issues:
Buggy Animations:
Some of the issues include; enemy and teammate glitches.
Knife Controls:
One of the problems they detected is that Weapon Domination mode’s knife feature is slow and needs optimization.
Repetitive Modes:
There are no special modes as Search and Destroy which could add more fun in tournaments and championships.
Killstreak Names:
It is possible to add Hindi adjectives like “Veer” or “Shourya” to make the game more local.
Final Verdict: A Promising Start
Faug Domination is a leap forward for Indian gaming. Although it derives some features from COD Mobile and other similar games the game also has its own cultural feature.
It is a fun game to play owing to its smooth gameplay, the variety of maps and adequate weapon choice, but there is still much to improve in terms of performance, additional features, and ideas.
Faug Domination has the great opportunity to become the game among the biggest ones such as BGMI and Free Fire with the help of dedicated developers and bet players’ feedback. Whether it can appeal to the Indian gamers is still the question mark.
Look out for the next posts as the game develops!
